Mechanics Won't Vote on Northwest Offer
The union representing Northwest's mechanics has decided against voting on the company's latest contract offer. The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association has stated that extra language added by Northwest was not addressed at a recent meeting between the two parties. The airline will likely continue hiring replacement workers, and the union will continue its strike against Northwest Airlines.
