Melbourne train strike: Services resume after industrial action, but further strikes planned
Today employees of the Melbourne train system went on a four hour strike which caused service to come to a halt. The workers, who are represented by the Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RTBU), are demanding that their employer redesign the training program and increase their wages. Another strike is planned for tomorrow that will affect service from 2am until 6am.
