Menopause and Work
Even though menopause is something that a substantial amount of the workforce goes through in their lifetime, it is rarely discussed in the workplace. As menopause often intersects with a critical career period in which women are most likely to progress to executive-level positions (ages 45-55) it is essential to examine this topic more. Researchers at Harvard Business School have concluded that examining workplace policies toward women going through menopause is critical to addressing the trend of ageism in the workplace.
