Mexican Official Urges Unemployed to Be Creative
The unemployment rate in Mexico is at its highest in three years and millions of Mexicans live in poverty. To address this issue, Mexican officials are urging people to create their own jobs and promising the use of federal funds to help people in this endeavor. Economy Minister Fernando Canales said that the jobs could be as simple as making food products at home. President Vicente Fox spoke of a world of enterprise in which every citizen could generate his or her own income.
