Michigan high court allows pro-union measure on November ballot
On Wednesday, the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that a measure to put the right to collective bargaining in the state Constitution will go on the ballot. Opponents of the measure said that it was too broad and would have implications for other laws that could not be explained on a ballot. The court said that the measure had met the requirements, and that it would go on the ballot. Supporters say that if the measure passes, it will give workers basic rights, and protect them from proposed right-to-work legislation.
