Michigan lottery workers paid $300,000 in bonuses
A small group of Michigan Lottery sales representatives were paid over $300,000 in performance bonuses during the past year. Although the state employs some 50,000 workers, incentive pay is unique to the sales group of about 75 employees. Each eligible employee can receive a bonus of up to $6,000 a year. While the program has met its minimum sales goals in just half the years since beginning in 2005, qualified lottery employees have received bonuses during most quarterly time periods.
