Microsoft slashing 14% of workforce in next year
Microsoft has announced that it will cut 14% of its total workforce over the next year, amounting to some 18,000 lost jobs. The cuts are not unexpected, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the changes will improve "fluidity," make their business processes "leaner," and make the company "more agile". Wall Street approved, with Microsoft's stock prices soaring. No Microsoft employees besides Nadella were quoted in this article.
