Migrant Workers Fleeing Libya Vow Not To Return
Almost 100,000 non-Libyan workers have left Libya since the fighting began, many without pay. Many are migrant workers who said they went to Libya for work, but were cheated by their bosses before, and that whatever cash they did have was taken as they left the country. Most say that they will not return to Libya even if the fighting dies down. Libya has an estimated 2.5 million foreign workers in their labor force, about half of the total. Most filled jobs that Libyans did not want.
