Minimum wage rise is OK'd by Md. Senate
The Maryland Senate has approved a bill that would raise the minimum wage by about 15 percent to $6.15 an hour. Maryland's current minimum wage is at the $5.15 hourly level set by the federal government, but several other states are higher than the federal minimum. Business groups oppose this legislation and are counting on Gov. Robert Ehrlich to veto it.
