Minn. Judge: Child care vote ruling within 90 days
The Minnesota judge who blocked a unionization vote for child-care workers in Minnesota says that he will decide whether the decision is permanent in the next 90 days. The order came after Governor called for the vote through an executive order. The judge said that the issue should have been decided by the Legislature. While the vote would have effected 11,000 child-care providers, about 4,300 would have been eligible to vote. If put to the Legislature, the issue is not likely to succeed.
