MLBPA sets up a $1million fund to assist workers affected by canceled games
Given that the MLB and MLBPA has not reached a labor agreement, MLB has canceled two regular season games. Due to this and the owners’ lockout of workers, the MLBPA has announced that they are launching a $1 million fund to give relief to affected workers. The fund will be administered by the MLBPA and the AFL-CIO to stadium workers and other workers who will face financial hardship because of the cancelations.
