MMA: Three former UFC champions join attempt to form fighters association
Over the past few days, five MMA fighters have agreed to participate in efforts to organize unified bargaining with others in their field. Eventually, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighters would like to receive greater portions of the revenue made by the UFC. Currently, MMA fighters make less money than other professional athletes, although their sport tends to be far riskier. While they do not plan on forming a union, the fighters will nonetheless attempt to use a less formalized system of unity to achieve their goals.
