Montana company exposes workers to arsenic
Tinley Park, a company that turned mining waste into roofing materials has pleaded guilty to negligent endangerment of their employees. The company has been fined $393,200, will be placed on probation for five years, and must conduct medical monitoring of their workers. Prosecutors say the company continued to poison its workers by exposing them to arsenic despite repeated warnings from its regulators and causing them potential long-term harm such as skin cancer and cancer in the bladder and lungs.
