Montgomery schools, union support bill postponing reform of teach evaluation
Maryland teachers and administrators are testifying is support of a bill that would postpone changes to teacher evaluations. The bill would stop the state from forcing school districts to include standardized test scores in evaluations until the tests are aligned with standards currently being put in place. Teachers and administrators say that it is unfair to test students or evaluate teachers using a test that is not on the material students are supposed to be learning. Adopting the bill could effect money from the federal government.
