More College Graduates Take Public Service Jobs
Reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that more young college graduates are taking jobs with the government and non-profit groups. In 2009, the number of graduates working for the government rose by 16%, while the number working for non-profits rose by 11%. Many attribute the rise to a lack of private sector jobs, but some also point to the generation itself, many of whom had community service requirements in school, as being different.
