Morgan Stanley Settles Discrimination Case
Morgan Stanley has agreed to pay $54 million to settle sex discrimination allegations brought against the company by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The female employees, represented by the EEOC, claimed that they were harassed and passed over for promotions because of their gender. The judge who was to hear the trial said that the settlement was a ?watershed in safeguarding and protecting the rights of women on Wall Street."
