Most Employees Plan to Pursue New Job Opportunities in 2014, Reveals Right Management Poll
A survey by the ManpowerGroup, a world leader in workforce solutions, shows that the vast majority of employees in North America intend to actively seek new positions in 2014. About 83% of the 871 employees surveyed said they would be actively looking in the upcoming year which is a 3% decrease from last year, but 23% more than those surveyed in 2009 during the height of the recession. Only 5% of employees stated that they would not be looking to change employers in any way, this was about the same percent across the previous four years the survey has been given. The authors of the report attribute the high levels of leaving intentions among employees to employers lack of effective engagement.
