Most Ohio union workers affected by insurance rule
If Ohio voters do not repeal an anti-collective bargaining law this fall, most public workers in Ohio will have increased health insurance costs. Supporters of the bill say that public workers should pay more, and that it is necessary to balance budgets. Opponents of the bill say that the increases will only hurt average workers who will be forced to pay more. The biggest increase will be for township and fire district employees, with school employees and city employees also experiencing increase. The bill has been the subject of debate since it was announced last winter.
