MTA Worker COVID-19 cases are dwindling
MTA services are back up and running in full swing following large amounts of worker absences the past few months. During the peak wave of the Omicron variant, 20% of the around 40,000 bus and subway worker were absent with 70% of those absences being COVID-19 related. The MTA was forced to scale back their services and close some lines. Now all lines have resumed, and worker absences have dropped to 7%.
