‘Much is at Stake in Union Election’, Provost Writes
Harvard University Provost Alan M. Garber recently sent out an email to the Harvard community putting forth questions he has concerning the unionization of graduate students on campus. Garber asked both logistical questions about union dues, as well as broader concerns about how unionization would affect the relationships between students, teachers, and the Harvard as an institution. Despite the union’s efforts for Harvard’s administration to stay neutral, the University has not signed a neutrality agreement. Eligible undergraduate and graduate students are set to vote on graduate students joining the UAW later this month.
