Much Lower Workers' Comp Costs Expected
The Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau has forecasted that California's workers' compensation system costs could drop by $7 billion this year, partly as a result of last year?s reforms. As a result of these findings, Democrats are demanding that insurers reduce their premiums for workers' comp policies. Regulations are underway that would ensure that insurance companies don't reap excess profits and that savings are passed along to employers.
