Museum union votes to OK strike
Workers at San Francisco's M.H. de Young Memorial Museum and the Legion of Honor Museum have voted to authorize a strike if negotiations fail. Around 90 workers voted to strike after negotiations have lasted nine months without resolution. The union says that the museums want to reduce wages for new hires and raise health care costs, despite having an increase in assets. The museums say that their offers have been fair and that they are surprised by the decision to strike.
