Muslim charges bias led to firing
According to the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, charges of workplace bias based on religion have increased significantly since the Sept. 11 attacks. Syed Abbas, a former employee of AFI Industries Inc. in Illinois, has alleged that he was fired after complaining about harassment following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
