My Colleague, My Paymaster
In order to find out who are effective employees, some companies are asking workers to rate their colleagues through internal stock markets. People invest in their colleagues, and through those investments the company can see who are considered the best by their peers. Experts say that employees are often the best sources on information on others' performance. They do caution that consideration needs to be given to personal feelings about others. Managers say that tactics like these help them recognize employees who they may be overlooking.
