N.J. Transit and Unions to Continue Negotiations as Strike Looms
Employees of New Jersey Transit have threatened to go on strike March 13th if an agreement cannot be reached between the company and the workers' union. The negotiations have been at an impasse for months. On Friday, the two parties met with a federal mediation board for eight hours in the hopes of resolving the dispute over wages and benefits. Discussions resumed on Tuesday back in Newark.
