N.Y.U. Labor Rules Failed to Protect 10,000 Workers in Abu Dhabi
In Abu Dhabi, NYU has begun construction on its new satellite campus. The approximately 10,000 workers employed by the project are not protected under NYU's labor guidelines that would ensure the workers fair working conditions and better wages. Many of the construction workers were recruited from South Asian, and were even charged a large recruitment fee to obtain the job.
