National Gallery Staff Begin Five-Day Walk-Out
Today, employees of the National Gallery went on a five-day strike protesting the decision to outsource visitor services to a private company. These employees, who will be on strike until February 7th, believe that this change will jeopardize the museum's reputation. Approximately 250 employees have joined the picket line, however the museum plans to remain open despite the strike.
