Navistar's Employees Represented by UAW Approve Four-Year Labor Agreement
The United Auto Workers and Navistar, a maker of trucks for the Military reached an agreement on a four-year contract which was approved by union members. The UAW represents around 2,000 of the company's workers. The contract expired on October 1st. The new agreement allows the company to change the production order at plants and includes a variable pay scale and changes to health benefit costs for employees. The company says that the contract improves their flexibility and competitiveness.
