NBA players association alleges unfair labor practices
The National Basketball Association players' association filed an unfair labor practices charge against the NBA with the National Labor Relations Board. The charge alleges "takeaway demands" from the NBA. The players asked for an immediate investigation by the NLRB, as well as an injunction to stop a threatened lockout on June 30, when the collective bargaining agreement expires. The NBA says that the charges have no basis, and that they will continue to bargain in good faith with the association. A bargaining session between the two sides is scheduled during the NBA finals.
