Nearly all Berlin flights canceled due to strike
Approximately 700 flights from the capital of Germany have been cancelled after ground staff began their 25 hour strike on Friday. Tens of thousands of passengers are stranded across numerous airports in Berlin, including Berlin Airport, Tegel, and Schoenefeld. The ground staff, who currently receive 11 euros per hour, are fighting for a one euro increase in their hourly pay. The strike coincides with the ending of the world's biggest tourism trade fair, which is held in Berlin.
