New data shows that many American workers desire a shorter, four-day work week
According to a new survey, the majority of workers reported being willing to quit their jobs in order to have a shortened, four-day work week. This data has indicated how since the pandemic, American workers have been reevaluating their relationship with work and time. Some workers feel like they are not productive all five days of the traditional work week, and others already work longer ten-hour days and see value in getting a day back for themselves. Recently, there have been trials of the four-day work week which have garnered support and positive results, and legislatures at the state and federal levels are beginning to propose bills to shorten the work week.
