New fronts open on Palermo workers dispute
Workers from Palermo Villa, a pizza company, have filed new complaints with the National Labor Relations Board, saying that workers were fired for union activity. Advocates for the workers say that the company is not trying to reach an agreement with the workers. The Board previously found that 11 workers had been unlawfully dismissed. One of the workers has been reinstated, but no one has received back pay. The dispute has been ongoing for the past 10 months.
