Changes to the nation's overtime pay rules will go into effect on Monday. Business leaders lobbied hard for the changes arguing that the existing regulations were out-of-date and led to costly lawsuits. Labor unions and worker advocates fought to block the changes, which they felt would take away overtime privileges from as many as 6 million workers.
