New police union president calls news conference, departs after one minute
Officer Kevin Graham conducted his first press conference since being sworn in as president of Chicago's largest police union this morning. Officer Graham faces looming contract negotiations that will include a political spotlight on police brutality. The controversy surrounds the shooting Laquan McDonald, who was shot by a white police officer in November 2015. Protestors have called on the Major of Chicago to reject provisions in the police union's contract that grant officers protection from disciplinary investigations.
