New rule requires private employers to notify workers of right to form unions
The National Labor Relations Board has approved a new rule that will require private employers to display posters that inform employees of their right to form a union. The posters will also include information about collective bargaining and what activities workers can legally engage in. Proponents of the rule say that it will give workers information about their rights, but opponents say they think it will seem that the government is encouraging unionization. The rule will go into effect November 14.
