New study indicates the importance of paid sick leave policies for workers

However, the U.S. is currently one of the only developed nations without national paid sick leave legislation to protect workers. As such, this data has potential implications regarding the state preemptive laws that prevent many local governments from enacting minimum paid sick leave policies.
