New York State OKs $15 Minimum Wage for Fast-Food Workers
On Thursday, New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo approved a policy that will incrementally increase the state's wage to $15 an hour. New York will become the first state to set its wage minimum that high. Governor Cuomo and Obama have been been strong supporters of raising the federal minimum wage to $12 an hour. Some are concerned that the new wage in New York will force some franchises to go out of business.
