NFL's Bengals Tentatively Settle Cheerleaders' Suit in Ohio
Recently the NFL team, the Cincinnati Bengals, has agreed to pay $255,000 to settle a lawsuit that was filed in 2014 by several of the team's former cheerleaders. The Bengals could have to pay cheerleaders who worked between 2011 and 2013 as much as 2,500 each per season. According to reports, the team began to increase the pay of its cheerleaders after 2014. In recent months, many lawsuits have been filed by cheerleaders of NFL and NBA teams claiming that they were not paid above the minimum wage level.
