PENGASSAN, a Nigerian labor union, suspended the Exxon Mobil strike for workers in Rivers State, although the strikes continue in other Nigerian Exxon facilities.The suspension was made following an arbitration ruling. There have been a number of recent strikes by oil industry workers in Nigeria over mass firings. In the past, labor strikes by PENGASSAN have delayed oil production significantly.
