Nine banks in India will strike on Tuesday in protest against bank reforms and to push for compensation for workers who deal with the extra effort required for demonetization and loan defaulters. The nine banks are all represented under The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU). Strikers will include workers in public, private, foreign, regional rural, and cooperative banks.
