NJ Amazon workers set to vote for union with the IBOTU representing them
Local 713 of the International Brotherhood of Trade Unions requested a union election at an Amazon facility Bayonne, New Jersey. The IBOTU is not affiliated with the Amazon labor group responsible for the current wave of Amazon unionization. The IBOTU has been found guilty of shady practices in the past and has faced accusations of mob ties. When asked if the ALU would be a better representative for the workers at the facility the union's attorney said, “Anybody that can become the bargaining representative at an Amazon location should do so.”
