NLRB Delays Rule for Workplace Notices on Forming Unions
The National Labor Relations Board has postponed a rule change that will require employers to notify workers of their right to unionize. The rule was scheduled to go into effect on January 31, but is now expected to be implemented on April 30. The Board says that pushing back the date will allow legal challenges to the rule to be resolved. Challengers say that the Board does not have the power to require employers to put union organizing posters in the workplace. The Board says that they have the right under the National Labor Relations Act. The rule was passed in August.
