NLRB rules that Starbucks violated labor law by illegally threatening workers during unionization vote at Seattle location
Recently, an NLRB judge ruled that Starbucks violated federal labor law by making threats during a union election vote at its flagship Seattle location last April. In the ruling, the judge determined that the company's statements threatening to reduce workers' benefits if they unionized and to prioritize non-union locations were illegal. However, Starbucks maintains that it did not violate workplace law and will likely challenge the decision.
