Northwest Airlines and leaders of the Air Line Pilots Association union will discuss freezing the pilots? pension plan with the airline. This means that no new members will be accepted and that the company will not make additional contributions. This move was proposed because there are concerns that the pension plan might not provide the benefits promised.
