Northwest pilots approve deal aimed at reducing cancellations
Northwest Airlines and its pilots reached an agreement on Saturday that will lower the threshold of hours pilots need to fly in order to be paid time-and-a-half, as well as implementing incentives for attendance. The agreement is designed to address the problems in work conditions that has caused a shortage in available pilots, leading to hundreds of canceled flights over the past two months.
