Norway could soon face more oil strikes
If a new round of negotiations between Norwegian oil managers, administrative staff and service workers ends in the same deadlock as talks with offshore production workers, union leaders say that the industry could face another strike. The production workers' strike cut output by 13% and led to the government intervening to stop a total lockout. Workers in the newest round of negotiations have some of the same demands as the offshore workers. Negotiations are expected to begin in August or September.
