Norway state workers begin rare pay strike
For the first time in 28 years, Norwegian state workers have gone on strike. The strike, which is indefinite, involves around 30,000 workers, but may expand if the two sides do not reach an agreement. Schools, child care and other public services are closed. Unions say that public sector workers do not make enough, and that they deserve a bigger share of Norway's growth. Norway is considered one of the strongest economies in Europe, growing by 1.4% in the first quarter.
