NY executive order signed to address health care worker shortages
New York’s governor signed an executive order that went into effect overnight Monday into Tuesday. The order will allow health care workers from other states and countries to work in New York and will waive re-registration fees. The order will also deploy medically trained National Guard officers and retired health care workers to fill the gaps. The governor will also open an operations center that will determine where the resources are and where they are needed.
