NY unions sue state over retiree insurance
New York State unions have filed a lawsuit against the Governor. The lawsuit is challenging a 2% increase in health care contributions for retired state workers. The seven unions, including police, university personnel, and the two biggest state employee unions, the Civil Service Employee Association and Public Employees Federation, represent most state employees. The Governor said that they believe the change will hold up to a challenge.
