NYC reaches an agreement over vaccine mandates with local unions
Mayor Bill de Blasio has reached an agreement with 9 NYC labor unions. The nine unions who represent 88,000 of the 160,000 workers covered by the latest COVID-19 vaccine mandate have worked with the mayor to give their members options. The deal gives unvaccinated workers the right to keep their health benefits while on unpaid leave until June, extends the deadline to November 5th from October 27th, and will allow unvaccinated workers to come back to work if they decide to get vaccinated any time before July.
